| A very strange Saturday |

Saturday is my day off each week. Between working M-F at the school and Sunday being the Sabbath, I am off Saturdays. I also rarely take a full day as there is just too much to do! (I think one of the requirements of being a priest is that you are also a workaholic!)
Anyways, this being the Saturday before Easter, I was especially busy, but my mother had called a few days earlier saying that the daughter of a friend of hers was in town to look at houses since she was moving here and could I perhaps meet her and show her around a little? Alright. I made the time, spoke with the young lady and made plans to meet her for lunch, then to see some sights.

Hope everyone is having a Good Friday and that I will see everyone in Mass this afternoon or evening!
Growing up, I'm the oldest of 6 kids, and we always would get together with the extended family, go to Mass and then have a GIANT family Easter Egg hunt with everyone participating! It was great because the little kids got candy and the bigger kids got to trade their candy in for money or other prizes. We always had a HUGE family dinner as well. It was the first really big family get-together since Christmas and we always spent it outside, weather permitting, no TV, no computers, no cell phones, etc.
